I am sucha detail oriented person by nature, and thorough to the core. It's a blessing and a curse. I look at a trip to Disney, as a mom, almost as a challenge to see how successfully I can get through the day! ha! Weird? Maybe. With that said, I know i'm a little more of a overpacker/hoarder type traveler, so take that into consideration if you take my advice! Also, this is a bag for the winter months. If I was going in the summer, I would probably add some things to it. Either way, here's a peek into the bag i'll be carrying inside the park and all the items i'm not going to forget
1) AUTOGRAPH BOOK! & Sharpie
2) Polaroid Camera, Film & tape. We are using ours as part of our autograph book
3) Disney stuffed animals. A good friend of mine that worked for Disney taught me to buy my stuffed animals before my trip. That works really well when you're kids are small enough and can definitely save $$
4) Disney gift cards, ID, extra cash, & Disney credit card. Disney has a service where you can now put your CC info on your Magic Bands. However, if you have a Disney Visa, you actually have to have the credit card on you to get discounts in the store, as well as going to any exclusive cardholder meet and greets. Also not a bad idea to bring a small wallet to put in your pocket if you have to leave you're stroller behind but don't want to leave you're valuables in it.
5) Things to do in line. I'm packing this HIDDEN MICKEY BOOK and printing off this adorable DISNEY WOULD YOU RATHER game found on none other then Pinterest.
6) Crystal Light packets. If you've ever been to Florida you know the water in every fountain, tap, sink, is flat out nasty. This will help soften the blow. Trust me. You need this.
7) Ponchos or umbrella. I simply didn't have the space for it but this is an important thing to have if you're visiting Florida in the summer months. It often downpours randomly in the middle of the day. In the winter months, you don't really have to worry about that so i'm taking my chances
8) Snacks. Even if you're doing Disney Dining, it's good to have a few snacks in case of emergency with little kids. I know my kids go from 0-10 in a matter of 2 seconds so snacks are a must.
9) Disney trading pins! If you don't know what this is, look into it. It's SO fun and one of my kids favorite things by far. Totally worth the money.
10) Quarters and Pennies for pressed penny machines. I keep mine in mini M&M containers. Also, we have a DISNEY PRESSED PENNY BOOKLET to keep all of our "treasures" in
11) Wipes of all sorts (Wet ones, Diaper wipes, Boogie Wipes) & Diapers
12) Trash bag (in case of wet clothes)
13) Pen, highlighter, Sharpie
14) Cell Phone & charger. The parks have charging stations for your phone as you will be using it all the time with the park app, checking wait times, camera, etc.
15) Hand Sanitizer, sunscreen, chapstick
16) OUCH POUCH filled with Disney Band-aids, alcohol pads, Neosporin, inhaler or emergency meds, motrin, suckers, etc. Whatever you need in an emergency
17) Stroller tag. I want to be able to locate my stroller quickly, reduce the chances of someone running off with it, and this is a stretch but if my child got lost, it would be one more way to find us.
18) Water bottle & Sippy cup (If you have a small child)
19) SAFTEY TATOOS This is such a cool product and can help your child if they are ever lost.
20) My customized go-to "Plan of attack" for the parks. Here I have my lists by day of the rides we are going to do in what particular order, and places we will stop. I know it is arguable that this can take the fun out of the trip, and for some families, that is true. But for us, the more organized and prepared we are, the more rides we get on, less lines we wait in, and happier dad/husband we have. It works for us!
There you have it folks. 20 must haves for the over planning mom. Oh yeah,
DON'T FORGET YOUR CAMERA!
